Advertising Policy — ACE Journal of Addiction (ACEJA)

ACE Journal of Addiction (ACEJA), published by Mak Hill Publications, may carry advertising to help support the costs of Open Access publishing. This policy governs how advertising is handled.

Editorial independence: Advertisers and sponsors have no influence over editorial decisions, peer review outcomes, or article selection. No advertiser may sponsor or influence coverage of a specific topic or author.

Identification: All advertisements are clearly labeled as such and visually separated from research and editorial content. Advertising is never placed within the body of an article, and placement never implies endorsement by ACEJA, its Editorial Board, or any author.

Not accepted: Given the journal's subject matter, ACEJA does not accept advertising for alcohol or tobacco products, unproven addiction "cures," or unlicensed treatment facilities. Pharmaceutical and treatment-industry advertising may be accepted only from properly licensed and regulated providers, in compliance with applicable healthcare advertising regulations. The Editorial Board may decline any advertisement at its discretion.

Review: All advertisements are subject to approval before placement and may be removed at any time if found to violate this policy or applicable law.
